In this video tutorial I made for Waves I show how to add weight to a snare in a mix.  I demonstrate a trick I learned from engineer Ross Hogarth – down pitch shifting a snare, adding reverb to it, then blending that in with the original.  The result is a fatter, heavier snare.  This mixing trick can be used in hip hop music, rock and more.
